DPS AUTHORIZED ROAD TEST  (MASKS ARE OPTIONAL)

Metro Driving School is a state approved Third Party Skills Test facility and can administer the road test to those that meet the following requirements:

INDIVIDUALS AGE 16 AND OLDER:

     *  Possess a valid DE964 certificate showing completion of the teen drivers education program.
    *  Have a valid learners license for a minimum of 6 months.
    *  Have viewed the ITTD video and received a certificate dated within 90 days of taking the road test.  This must be signed by the
         parent/guardian and student.  The website to watch the free state-required video is https://impacttexasdrivers.dps.texas.gov.
         Then choose the Teen Drivers video (blue).  You must watch this video before taking the driving test.
         NOTE:  After taking the road test, you will need the VOE form for the DPS and the 30 hour log if you are 16 or 17
         years of age.

INDIVIDUALS 18 AND UP TO 24 YEARS OF AGE:

     *  Possess a valid DE964 or ADE1317 certificate showing completion of a driver education course.
    *  Have a valid learners license.
    *  View the ITTD (blue) or ITAD (green) video and receive a certificate dated within 90 days of taking the road test.  This must be signed by
        the individual and also by the parent if having done the teen drivers ed program.  The website to watch the free state-required video is
        https://impacttexasdrivers.dps.texas.gov.   Then choose the Teen or Adult Drivers video.  You must watch this video before taking the
        driving test.

INDIVIDUALS 25 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER:

     *  Possess a valid learners license.
    *  View the ITAD (green) video and receive a certificate dated within 90 days of taking the road test.  This must be signed by
        the individual.  You must watch this video before taking the driving test.
    NOTE:  Driver education is not required for individuals age 25 or older but is highly recommended by the DPS.

HOW TO SCHEDULE A DPS AUTHORIZED ROAD TEST AT METRO DRIVING SCHOOL:

1.  Please call OR email and leave a message to discuss the date and time of your road test.  

2.  Arrive only 5 minutes before your road test.  You will use our car (Chevy Trax) for the road test.  Masks are optional in the office and car. 

3.  Bring the above-listed documents and a parent, if you are a teen or are turning in the teen program.  

3.  Road tests are offered Monday thru Saturday.

PRICE FOR THE ROAD TEST:

You may pay for your driving test by cash or credit/debit card only.  You will receive 3 attempts on 3 separate dates at this price to pass your road test.
